Bar Graph

Anyone who knows me will tell you I'm not a math person. I scraped by in precalculus my junior year of high school (coincidentally, that was the year I started watching "One Tree Hill"). I screwed up my federal tax return this year. I can't split a check at restaurants.

I have no idea what possessed me to do bar graph nail art today. Maybe it was my striping brushes laid out on my desk. All I can say is, it definitely wasn't my love of math or numbers.

But all math-related reasons aside, I love how cute this manicure turned out. I started with two coats of Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect Dune—originally, I loved this color, but haven't touched it in a few months so the polish has gotten thick and chunky. It was a little difficult to work with on the first few nails, but by the time I got to the fourth nail it smoothed out a lot and I was able to apply it with ease. Using my striping brush, I drew thin bars on each of my nails. If I was more numbers-inclined, I could have done something extra-technical by mapping out some sort of statistic, but I barely passed my AP stats class so I can't even pretend that the pattern means anything.

Nevertheless, it's still some pretty sweet nail art.
